OUR STANDARDS
Better product information is part of the product.
Alan Hugh Shades is curated from third-party suppliers. That makes one thing especially important: separating what is actually supported by the product information from what merely sounds good in a listing.
We do not turn every supplier phrase into a claim.
Marketplace listings often mix specifications, search terms, sales language, and broad marketing claims. We rewrite product pages around the details that are useful to a buyer and avoid presenting unsupported language as fact.
Polarized means the supplier specification supports polarization.
We do not label a product polarized because it looks like another polarized product or because “driving” appears in a title. The available product specification needs to support the feature.
UV claims are handled separately.
Polarization, visible tint, and ultraviolet filtering are different properties. If a supplier lists UV400, UV375, or another specific rating, we identify it as supplier-listed rather than applying one blanket claim to the whole store.
We reduce catalog noise.
The goal is not to import hundreds of near-identical frames. We prefer distinct silhouettes, useful color options, and a catalog where each style has a reason to exist.
Images are curated too.
Supplier graphics with marketplace banners, foreign-language promotional text, or cluttered sales artwork are removed from customer-facing galleries. Clean product imagery is prioritized so the storefront reads like one brand.
What this does not replace.
Product pages are shopping information, not medical or professional optical advice. For prescription needs, eye-health concerns, or specialized protective eyewear, consult a qualified eye-care professional.
