CUSTOMER CARE
Frequently asked questions.
Straight answers about fit, lenses, availability, shipping, and the opening Alan Hugh Shades collection.
Why are the sunglasses currently out of stock?
The opening collection is available to browse while payment and fulfillment settings are finalized. The products are intentionally set to out of stock so no order can be placed before checkout is ready.
How do I choose the right frame shape?
Start with frame width and proportion, then decide whether you want the frame to add structure or softness. Our face-shape guide and square vs. round guide are good starting points.
How should sunglasses fit?
They should stay stable without pinching, sit comfortably on the bridge, and avoid pressing into your cheeks. See our full sunglasses fit guide for seven practical checks.
Are all Alan Hugh Shades polarized?
No. Polarization is listed on individual product pages only when the supplier specification verifies it. You can also browse the Polarized collection.
What does UV400 mean?
UV400 is commonly used for lenses intended to block ultraviolet wavelengths up to 400 nanometers. It is separate from lens darkness and polarization. Read our UV400 guide for more detail.
Do darker lenses always protect better?
No. Visible tint and ultraviolet filtering are different properties. We avoid making blanket protection claims based only on how dark a lens appears.
How should I clean my sunglasses?
Remove loose grit first, then use clean lukewarm water and a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive paper products and harsh household glass cleaners. Our care guide covers the full routine.
Will I receive tracking once orders open?
Tracking will be provided when it is available from the selected fulfillment service. Final order and delivery guidance will be confirmed before checkout opens.
Where can I find shipping and return information?
See Shipping & Returns for the current pre-launch policy and the terms that will be finalized before live sales begin.
