About

ABOUT ALAN HUGH SHADES

A sharper way to wear sunglasses.

Alan Hugh Shades is built around a simple idea: eyewear should feel considered. Not overdesigned. Not disposable. Strong silhouettes, useful details, and pieces that earn their place in your rotation.

Curated, not crowded.

We would rather present a focused collection of strong options than bury good frames inside hundreds of near-duplicates. Every style should have a reason to exist.

Useful details matter.

Fit, dimensions, lens information, materials, and verified product features should help you decide whether a frame belongs on your face—not just whether it looks good in a photo.

Style without theatre.

Our visual language is elevated, but the product still has to work in real life. The goal is presence, not costume.

HOW WE BUILD THE EDIT

The filter is the point.

We screen styles for silhouette, proportion, finish, supplier information, and whether the frame adds something meaningfully different to the collection. Product claims such as polarization or UV protection are only surfaced when the available supplier specifications support them.

That same approach carries into the Alan Hugh Journal: practical fit, lens, care, and buying guides designed to help you choose with more confidence.
